Italiano: Graffito firmato "Garipoli" e datato 1896 sull'intonaco dell'ex cisterna sottostante l'arcivescovado, visibile nell'Ipogeo di Piazza Duomo a Siracusa. Già cava di pietra sotterranea, fu trasformato in un rifugio sotterrano contro i bombardamenti Alleati durante la Seconda guerra mondiale. Attualmente è un museo. English: 1896 graffito scraped by a Garipoli on the wall of the discarded cystern beneath the Archbishopry, in the Piazza Duomo square Hypogeum in Siracusa, Italy. A former underground quarry, it was turned into a shelter for the population against Allied bombings during World War II. Now it is a museum. Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, May 22 2008. |
