English: Cwt y Bugail Cwt y Bugail (Shepherd's Hut) is described in a sale catalogue for the mine in 1873 as 'Miners Cot'. There is no doubt that this curious dwelling with its central hearth dates back to the early days of the mine i.e. before 1755. Except for the absence of a roof, the cottage is in a remarkably good state of repair. A better view of the central hearth can be seen in 279138. |
