English: INS Beas derives its name from the River Beas, which originates from Beas Kund in the Himalayas (Himachal Pradesh). Accordingly, the ship conducted a car rally from 08-19 May 22 to Beas Kund, along with enroute visits to Indian Army (Grenadiers) and Indian Air Force units to further the aims of tri-services affiliation and joint man ship.
