Summary

Description
English: Penshan Open Cut is the present outcrop of the largest ore vein system at Jinguashih mine (Chinkuashih Mine, Kinkaseki Mine). The open pit mining commenced around 1960s, which level out the original 640m giant silicified peak "Dajingua" or "large gold melon" for gold. The site is now a depression with elevation of ~440m at the lowest level. A geopark was designated for preservation of unique geology and history of the site.
