Summary
| Description |
English: Flooded workings of the Alexandra Quarry. It is remarkable that even this water has been colonised by Water Crowfoot, and the shallow edge is inhabited by myriad tiny fish. The contrast is visible between the even cleavage of the productive slate beds and the rough outcrop of the adjacent, unproductive sandstones. Voluminous waste from later workings is tipped everywhere. |
