Summary
DescriptionSpider, possibly Heterophrynus.jpg
English: Arachnid in Cueva de los Tayos (this is what the people that lived there called it - I'm not sure if it is the famous Cueva de los Tayos, but at least it was close to that one), on the Yaupi River near where the trail to the town of Yaupi starts, in the Oriente in the Ecuadorian Amazon Basin. The trail starts around coordinates
. Judging by internet photos it seems to be Phrynidae and possibly Heterophrynus, but this needs to be confirmed. Spider was probably five inches across.
