Summary
DescriptionTramway and tip (geograph 5292921).jpg
English: The tramway to the Alexandra quarry was crossed at this point by a bridge carrying the line from the adit to the lower tips. The origin and purpose of the concrete parapet, which is of modern construction, is unclear considering that independent working at Alexandra ceased before the close of the 1930s. More recent use of the track is for access to the water supply reservoir. My assistant has decided to have a good roll in the grass.
