Summary

Description
English: Tunnel approach The trees mark the position of the former railway line as it approaches the western entrance to Talyllyn tunnel. The tunnel was originally opened on 07/05/1816 by The Hay Railway (an early horse-drawn tramway). The tunnel was enlarged and re-opened on 01/05/1863 by the Brecon & Merthyr Railway.
