Description
  • English: Rock dwellings (or rather inhabited caves) on the side of Vidoule hill in present-day Prague, Czech Republic, in 1887. The poorest people working in nearby brick factory used to occupy them. The painter was struck by the poverty and desperation he saw.
  • Čeština: Skalní obydlí (či spíše obydlené jeskyně) na úbočí vrchu Vidoule v dnešní Praze (ČR) v roce 1887. Obývali je nejchudší lidé pracující v nedaleké cihelně. Malíř byl zasažen chudobou a beznadějí, kterou viděl.
