Summary

Description
English: Large limestone quarry of the Rheinkalk AG (a subsidiary of the Lhoist Group and world’s largest manufacturer of limestone and dolomite products) in Wülfrath, western Germany, providing the raw material for the largest limestone processing factory in Europe. The rocks exposed in the quarry belong to the Middle Devonian (Givet–Adorf) limestone facies of the Rhenish Massif.
Deutsch: Großer Kalksteinbruch der Rheinkalk AG (eine Tochter der Lhoist-Gruppe und der weltgrößte Hersteller von Kalkstein- und Dolomiterzeugnissen) in Wülfrath, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Teil des größten Kalkwerks Europas. Die Gesteine, die in diesem Steinbruch aufgeschlossen sind, gehören zur mitteldevonischen (Givet–Adorf) Massenkalk-Fazies des Rheinischen Schiefergebirges.
